Long Point Campground, Brevard County

This has become one of our favorites. It's located on A1A, 2 miles south of the Marine Life Sanctuary and 2 miles north of Sabastian Inlet State Park. Within 2 miles, either north or south, you have beach access. The campground itself is located on the river. The location offers multiple mangrove islands to explore by kayak or canoe. Dolphins are often seen running mullet around the islands and even had them a couple yards from our last campsite. Many of the sites offer water access for a small boat, i.e. kayak/canoe. Several of the sites offer more shore front to dock a bigger boat or fishing from the banks. Warning, bath houses are nothing special here. As it is a county park, they can get a little rough by Monday morning. Located on A1A, at the entrance of the park is a mom/pop restaurant and a small bait store. Haven't tried the food yet. No see ums.....Winter months it's beautiful, summer it is brutal. Bring your bug spray. If there is a "sheller" in the family, they will love wading the surf here.
